iphoto tips!

hey.
does anyone know where the files added to the iphoto library go ?
i've had a folder on my desktop with all the pics now i've added them to my iphoto i need to know if iphoto reads the pics from that folder or does it keep another copy of the pics for iphoto ?

If you have added the photos in the desktop folder to iPhoto by importing them into iPhoto (or simply dragging the contents to iPhoto), then the folder on your desktop is not needed any more and can be deleted. The photos are now stored in your iPhoto library and should be viewable from within the app.
