I recently went and picked up an Alesis Multi-mix mixer/interface so i could record drums on 8 simultaneous tracks as opposed to running 6 mics into a mixer straight onto one track. I got that medium to sound great, but had to do a lot of levels before recording. Now obviously with simultaneous tracks editing is much smoother and much more effective.
now heres my question
when I bought I read over a dozen reviews saying that it works with garageband.
I know, I SHOULD use pro-tools, sorry guy dont have that kinda cash lol
but when I plug it in via USB, it doesn't send any sound into the computer
only out, into the mixer.
I've opened sound preferences to try and fix it, but on the input it recognizes it , but then says it has no input controls
???
what's going on?
how do i set it up to record simultaneous tracks
PLEASE help, it is GREATLY appreciated
