Iphoto library question

We downloaded pics from our SD disc. We can see them in the library but when we got to attach them to yahoo email the iphoto library is not there. We have pics under "pictures" that can be attached but not iphoto. We bought our Mac yesterday and are definitely newbies. Thanks for any help.

try exporting your photos from iPhoto

you can't browse through the iPhoto library using the attachments popup browser thing... you need to drag the photos out of iPhoto onto the desktop or somewhere, then attach them from there.

Or set up Mail app so you can just select a picture then select email picture

Assuming that you are using Leopard, I'd say you can access your iPhoto library from the attach window. Just scroll down in the left side panel and you will see a tab "Media" under which there will be pictures, video and music. Choose appropriately and you can access your entire library right from there...
