Divx stuck on "connecting" screen

I have a mac book 1.8 with 1gb of ram and am running the leopard OS.
I recently downloaded Divx for mac 6.7, it installed seamlessly. However when I go to watch a streaming divx video it is stuck on the "connecting" screen. This even happens when I am trying to watch a video on the divx site! I am on a high speed internet connection. I'm not sure what to do, any help is greatly appreciated.

I tried downloading one of the movies on stage 6, and it doesn't work either! It won't play but if i can still scroll through the movie! Grrrr
