Not exactly sure where to put this, but here goes:

Does anyone know if I can set up a PC to run as an external boot drive? Is there any setting in XP that allows the HD to run similar to apple's Firewire Target Disk Mode?

I don't have a firewire external drive ( I have an unopened USB 100GB drive that is my stepmom's, would this work? I don't want to mess with it if it wont). I'm trying to boot Tiger from an external drive.

Any ideas? I have a Dell Inspiron Desktop with no firewire port (I don't think..), along with a powerbook G4.

No, and I do not recommend to do so as Windows is designed to boot off IDE, SCSI or SATA drives as the drive letter and its partition is non-movable (stored in boot.ini). I suggest partitioning your main hard drive as instructed in BootCamp.
