Latin?

Does anyone know why iWork is written in Latin? At least I think it is Latin.

Good question!
It's not just iWork that does it. It's very common in all publishing. Here is a good explanatory site.

You used to be able to get a plug-in for Quark xpress called Jabberwocky. It gave you dummy text in English that looked like Lewis Carol text from a part of Alice in Wonderland

Latin est a mortuus lingua , ut mortuus ut is can exsisto. Primoris is iuguolo Romanorum , iam it's caedes mihi.

Haha...are parts of that NOT in Latin? It has been a while since I've done anything with it, but articles and contractions are not really used

And using the Lorum Ipsum can be impressive. I edited a literary magazine in high school, and when we would present layout ideas to people, you could tell it got us a few extra bonus points

Meh, I used an online translator to do it. When I reversed it back it wasn't quite right, but close.

That's online translators for you. 'Perhaps a small obelisk could be erected to commemorate it' is rather more meaningful!

It also makes sense in the context of the portion of my previous post you quoted.
