opinion on upgrading/ram issues

Hey
question,I have a 13"macbook with macosx 10.4, now i just finished upgrading it to a 1.25 ram and will have macosx leopard in a few days,will i be encountering any problems when upgrading to the new mac or should it be smooth sailing?

It should be fine. Just make sure you've disabled or uninstalled any Application Enhancers you have (APE). Those are known to cause upgrade issues with Leopard.

Also, try to make sure you have the LATEST and Leopard Compatible versions of all the 3rd party software you are using. For some reason, I've heard reports that less problems are caused when you update all your apps to the newest binaries BEFORE installing the new OS.

This program does a good job of finding updates for much of your installed software. I would also strongly recommend you do a backup before you attempt an upgrade. An even better idea would be to an Archive & Install, which will preserve your software and settings, but do a clean install.
