I was just looking at QT Pro and am not sure if this program will be advantagous as I'm not exactly sure what it does...Here is a quote from the Apple site:
Convert your QuickTime movies to a variety of formats for viewing on your iPod or mobile phone or sharing with friends and family via email or the web.(1) Export to over a dozen different video and audio formats.
The site does not mention iMovie or making movies for DVD...Am I missing something...???
I'm a little confused with all the choices for video editing and viewing programs....Here are my needs...
Basically I want all my video files to be viewable and usable in iMovie...I think that Flip4Mac is the program for that especially for WMV files...
I have quite a few video files that have a .mpg extension which I believe to be mpg2 files....My machine displays them with QT icon but when I try and open them it says they are not movie files...
Given the video needs I have what would you all recommend....???
I'm currently not in the position to purchase FCP or even express at this time as I just spent a boatload of money on my new iMac including upgrades, Airport Extreme, new printer and other goodies...
Thanks for the input....
