I can't open video files. What do I need to download or purchase in order to watch .wmv files and the like?

I have a Macbook Pro and I'm completely computer challenged!

Mac Pro 8x3.0ghz 12gb ram 8800GT , MBP 2.16 2GB Ram 17 inch.
either VLC or Flip4Mac both are free.

Macbook (white), 2 GHz, 2 GB Memory, 120 GB, Superdrive, 10.4.10.
i use Flip4Mac and haven't run into any problems with it. Very good program.

That's the one I used and so far so good. I can now watch live streaming video of Africam.com
