Being mew to Mac Leopard is my first OS upgrade, however I am a bit confused.
There seems to be 2 ways to upgrade.
1) A simple upgrade where everything is retained on the hard drive
(This is the simple but not preferable)
2) All personal data is backed up, the hard drive is formatted and Leopard is installed fresh. (This is the best way to go)
What is confusing me is that I thought reformatting the hard drive was a Windows issue, do I need to go this route.
Thanks
