I can watch DVD movies on my iMac. Just put the disc in and go to Front Row, then select DVD. What do you mean by "on the run"? That--I don't know.

You can rip them to your hard drive using Mac the Ripper. Is that what you are asking?

Do a Google search for Mac The Ripper, it's not hard.

You can also use a program like Handbrake to compress the movie to MP4 format and save space. Mac The Ripper will copy the whole DVD, all 4 to 8 Gb of it, to your hard drive. Handbrake will allow you to compress it to a decent quality at a MUCH smaller size and save some space.

I tried using Mac the Ripper to rip Star Wars and Harry Potter, but I kept getting an error saying it couldn't because the disc was protected. Or encrypted. Something like that. ?

If the disc is protected MTR isn't going to rip it.

There are ways around this, but we can not discuss it on this forum.
