Hello all. . .

Is there anyway to alphabetize the apps in the Applications folder? Also, is there a backspace key?

Thanks, Barry

1. When the finder is active go to View -> Arrange and click by Name

2. Delete is the same as backspace on a windows machine
If you hold the fn button when you click delete it acts as the forward delete

While we're on the subject, is there an equivalent to 'Auto Arrange' from Windows, where when you drop a file or folder into a Finder window, it will put it in the appropriate place in the alphabetical order, perfectly lined-up, as opposed to plonking it *exactly* the pixel where you dropped it?

(Don't think this works in anything but panther)
Open a finder window
Click in the blank space and go to the little ratchet thingy (see attached pdf)
and click view option

Select All windows and set whatever you want it to arrange as

Or you could just use list view (View - As List.) Sort by name, date, size, etc. backwards or forwards. And it's a lot more space-efficient.

... I think its more of a sprocket thing, or a gear thing. Not a ratchet...

I'm kidding!
:D
