Just installed VM ware to run windoze for two apps my client needs.

Not enough memory yet so did not install anything else and tried to shut down VMware.

Seemed to hang (I assumed not enough memory) so shut it down to re boot - and it wont. boot that is.

It comes on, I get the apple screen, the twirly circle in the middle twirls for a couple of minutes - and then it turns off.

Any ideas? Does apple have a safe mode?

Try stratung up in safe mode press the S key after the power key is pressed.

if that works then shut down and you should be fine

otherwise you may need to boot from the install cd and run disk utility
