Why is it some apps - compared to their Windows counterparts lack any sort of Graphical Interface?
For example, I just purchased Quicken 2007 for the Mac because I liked it better than MS Money on Windows. The Windows version was really nice, simple and easy to read. However, the Mac version seems like it was designed in the 80's just as windows 3.1 is coming on the scene. Fonts are hard to read and it's lacking quite a bit in the "eye candy" department.
Not even eye candy per-say but just lacking in appearance period. What is going on? This is the second app I have used that lacks in this department. Entourage is another app that lacks pretty much any Graphical Interface worth talking about.
Is this an Apple problem or is this because developers just don't care? I would really love to know.
