hi, i got a macbook pro last week and have been copying over all my files from my old windows pc with my ipod.

I used an ipod ripping software to get all the tunes from my ipod onto my new mac, but for some reason all my music appears in files in my music folder and seems to also appear inside the itunes music folder.

Is this normal to have 2 listings of my music or have i just got two sets clogging up space of my HD?

thanks for any help

That's happened on all the macbooks/pros I've owned. I just delete one and leave the other. I also choose to delete it permanently out of my iTunes folder and have never had a problem with the other song not being able to play.

Try it on one and confirm this before deleting 50 songs for good though.

Not sure if its a bug or what, but its a pain.
