Keyboard Problems in Adium

Weird one today. My keyboard would not enter Capitalized A while typing in Adium. All other letters seemed to be fine. This does not happen in other applications. its a new keyboard, only 6 weeks old.

Works well right now AAAAAaaaaaa

iMac Core i5(3.6 GHz) 8 GB RAM, MBP C2Duo(2.4 GHz) 4 GB RAM, MB C2Duo(2.4 GHz) 2 GB RAM
have you tried deleting adium and re-installing?
