Hey guys,

I installed crystal clear on my Macbook and when i first did the install, i got like a pref. menu pop up and i was able to change things, however i had no idea what i was doing and so there was an option to 'decide later' or something of the sort.

Now, i cant locate the program or any parts of it not even in spotlight.

I know its installed, because when i click the desktop and say have the system pref window open, it becomes nearly 100% transparant.

Any suggestion?

i have seen the great things you can do with it, i either want to use it or get rid of it but cant find it to do either lol!

HELP!

You will use Shapeshifter to apply Crystal Clear.
The transparent windows are a function of a 2nd app that Crystal Clear installs called SetAlphaValue. It's function is available within the menu of each program. Forget now whether it will be in the program's name menu or the File menu. Personally didn't like SetAlphaValue, so removed that particular program myself.

Yes, you'll need to install Shapeshifter first. And no it's not free, but it is inexpensive.

look at the desktops thread, a lot of people here use it. Every theme out there is made to be used with Shapshifter...

Depends on whether you enjoy changing the look or not. For an app that I use and look at every time I'm sitting at my rig, it's worth the $20 asking price.

Here's an example of Crystal Clear.

Have had no issue of Shapeshifter hogging resources.

Once you install it - you'll find it in System Preferences, on the bottom row - has several tabs - go to the Download tab first and grab some of the themes from there - then back to the Apply tab and check a few of em out. You should log out and back in after applying a new theme. AmunRaa is one of my favorites.

I think it has a trial period so you can check it out first before you buy.

What does the 'trial' of shapeshifter permit?
Is there a maximum number of changes or something?
