hey guys.
i've purchased a 400gb philips external hd drive..it was ntfs formatted so i made it mac os extended journal..everything was ok til i plugded it to windows..it wasnt able to even detect it..it says a new hardware was found but wasnt showing it in my computer.
i have another external hd.a wd 120gb..it can be formatted in ms-dos..i've done it so much til now by disk utility...
but i cant do the 400gb one..there is no such option as ms-dos.there are only mac formats a linux format and an option as free space.
what should i do?i dont wanna destroy my hardware by doing sth wrong so i am asking u guys for you help..it is really impportant that i can use the big hd on both mac os and windows..
