Codec

Hi, this is my first post ever on this site

Anyway, can anyone please tell me where I can go to download the "ms a" audio codec?? I've been looking everywhere and I can't play all these .avi movie files on Quicktime without it... It's really driving me crazy. I would really appreciate some help! Thanks!

Oh, and preferably free?

download Mplayer for mac. http://mplayerosx.sourceforge.net/
no more troubles with .avi files anymore.
