iMac - 24" - 2.8ghz - 2 Gig Ram - 500 Gig HD
Hello! My brother and I are in the process of gathering funds to "make the switch" to an iMac. We are both looking at the 24", 2.4, 2gig systems. We both have been doing a lot of reading online.

We also have visited the Apple store and spent a couple of hours there getting a feel for the system and how it works for us. So far, we like it and we are still on the path to switching.

My question here is can anyone suggest a good book for reading on these guys/operating system?

I am an IT professional in the PC world so I am not an idiot. Lol. However I think that means zilch when it comes to the Mac stuff. Then again, I did not have a problem navigating. I am rambling.

Question - what is a good read to give me some basics, intermediate, advance info on these guys? Is there a PDF or online version?

Much appreciated!

I think switching is a lot easier than you think. Other than Google, you shouldn't really need much else for the basics. I switched back in February and it's been pretty smooth sailing since. Any problem I had, I just googled it and found my answer.

Is it worth picking up even though Leopard is coming out or is it pretty much the same with only a few enhancements?

the basic operations will be the same, so you should have no problem picking up the book now

That's what I was thinking after I posted that.
