Bought an iPod, then a Mac?

Just wondering how many Mac owners' first experience with Apple was an iPod or iPhone.

Compare to this slightly different poll.

Definitely me. My interest in Apple started with my iPod Mini.

Grew up on Macs, I didnt get my first iPod until the 3rd gens after I got the chance to play with my uncle's iPod.

iPod for all of us (4 of 'em), then a Mini, then a MBP & soon to be iMac for the g/f...I kind of owe her

Didn't get my first iPod til 5G. Now have that iPod, Black Macbook, and iPhone.

I got my first Mac in 1996 - it was a Mac clone (PowerComputing PowerCenter 150 desktop). Then when it was time to upgrade (after about 6 years of use, we gave the PowerCenter away) we bought a grape iMac from a friend which didn't last 6 months even (the analog board died on us) so we bought a spankin' new 17" 800MHz G4 iMac. Then when that one became a bit of a drag to use (it was getting slow and no fun to use), we bought a 20" iMac G5.

Somewhere during 2004, I won my first iPod (3G - 15GB) in a forum raffle after thinking I'd never ever buy one or need one, it was a stoopid concept. Hah! I fell in love with it! Now I have a 60GB Video iPod.

I used Macs at work before I was given an iPod, but I had looked at them as graphics-and-publishing-only computers.

i have still yet to get an ipod... i might be getting a shuffle soon though.

Actually I'm kinda the opposite. I got my ipod because it seamlessly integrated with OS X. So having a mac was the only reason I chose ipod over something else. But now I really like my ipod for being an ipod and not just an apple product.

I bought an iPod before my MacBook. I got my 30 GB Video in late '05, and my Mac in January '07. I'd guess that if I hadn't bought my iPod, I'd probably be using a Toshiba laptop right now. Thank God for the iPod.

I bought an iPod video 5G 30GB white in December 2005. March 2006 I bought an iMac.

I had a Mac way back when, purchased in 1993. Bought a 4th gen iPod. Then bought an MBP a couple months ago.

I went Mac in 2001, pre-iPod. I didn't see what the big deal was when SJ announced it - an MP3 player, what's the big deal, right? I thought I'd have no use for one. But after a while, my curiosity got the better of me and I got a 3G 10GB iPod . . . and fell in love. It died not long ago, so now I have my 3G 8GB Nano w/video. I love it even more. I can't believe there was a time when I thought I didn't want/need one. ^_^

I bought an iPod, my old PC started acting up, and less than a week later I bought my iMac.
