G3 issues

Hey all. I have a mac G3 that is double booted with OS 9 and OS 10. Recently, I powered up my computer as normal, and the computer is froze on the Apple screen (origional screen when you turn your computer on). I can't get to my operating system. I have tried so much from unplugging the computer, checking the hardware connections etc. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what may be wrong and how to fix?

Hold down the shift key on start up,do'nt let go until the mac logo. See if it boots,you may have a conflict problem.
