Hi,

I just bought a Panasonic NV-MD10000, it has dv port. I tried to connect but it seems that it's not detected. Does this camera work with iMac (new iMac).

Not if you and or that iMac is from the USA.

The NV-MD10000 is PAL.

If not, then I suggest you go to the Panasonic web site from the proper country. And why is it you didn't check compatibility first before purchasing this camera?

hi

I tried it again with a short dv wire and the iMac detected it. I tested it earlier with a 40 meter datavideo firewire cable, it has repeaters built in. I don't know why when i use that 40m wire, the iMac can't detect. Is there a limit?

Thanks.
