Yes, I have it, and you're right. It's amazing. ^_^ It's very fast and truly reliable. We've had it for a year and a half, and I've never experienced an outage. I had a 56K modem before FiOS. Life changes when speed multiplies by 100.
Running FiOS here as well. Love it! HUGELY reliable and really fast. Well worth it. We had third party DSL prior to FiOS and were experiencing an outage about once every two months. Like MathOgre, we have not had a single outage since we got FiOS. Strongly recommended.
I, too, had the dinosaur of internet connectins. A 56K Dial-Up connection, with AOL as my ISP, Never had any problems with Verizon. The speed difference is amazing
I have the "16 Mbps down / 2 Mbps up" package, and can upgrade to a 30/5 package anytime I want to pay the outrageously expensive delta to get there. I am waiting for Verizon to lower the price before I make that step.
I am actually seeing pretty much the full rated speed. It works as advertized.
Yea i have it w/ 3 Dell computers, and my lone MBP. And the range on their routers suck. I'm always having a problem with the internet w/ my MBP. But wired, it's fast.
That's a good deal Kash. We pay $44 a month for our 16/2 service. But get this - Verizon wants $140 a month for the 30/5 package. A nearly obscene delta! Not worth it to me yet!
I have FiOS internet. Comcast was just not cutting it for me. The lines in our neighborhood were always down, and it was just a hassle.
Now, I'm literally downloading music and programs *cough* legally of course at about 1.5mb per second. One time I saw it get up to 7mb/ps, but I'm not sure if my eyes were deceiving me or what... but I saw it.
