Changing desktop apperance

After many years of windows. I have certain things burned into my brain. A desktop doesn't look right unless all icons are aligned left. Is there a way to do this, that will keep this setting permanently?

You can move them, but once you restart, they'll move back to the right (at least the drive icons will). There's not much you can do about it other than accept it.

Clean desktop

A desktop does not look right with icons on it full stop dont clutter your mac like a windows machine desktop keep it clean it deserves that much
