good place to buy?

you guys know were i can get a new macbooks that have better deal than the apple store? like place to buy it a store or a online store??thanks

Ebay from a reputable seller...or a used one from craigslist. Not too many discounts too be had on most apple products unless your a student or a government employee.

MacMall.com sometimes runs specials, but when you factor in shipping costs, the discount usually only adds up to a few dollars.

Why not look at the refurbished section on the Apple website? Good deals can be found there.

The term "refurbished" implies that the computer is used, but was made to be in "like new" condition. You will have the same warranty as a new machine, so if there are any problems, you can always return it. In my opinion, refurbished is the best way to go if you don't have to have the newest/best/fastest version of a particular device.

you think that the macbooks will soon come with leopard?? or this is only a optional upgrade at the moment..this is like a 130$ update..so if it dose come factory will price go up on macbook or stay same?

When Leopard comes out, later in October, all MacBooks will come with it. If you buy one now, it will come with Tiger.

There's nothing wrong with Tiger, but if you want the latest and greatest without having to upgrade later, just wait a few weeks.

I have bought a MacBook and a MacBook Pro from NewEgg. 3 day shipping, no taxes and a free bag.

Same price as the Apple store just faster service.
