I know this has been covered before, but being that I'm new here, I can't seem to find the right answer for ME.

I need to run IE on my mac to view some remote cameras. What do you suggest I get?

I would like to also upgrade all our Windows PCs at work, but would need one of the above to run Windows only programs as well. What would you suggest for this application. Thanks.

If you want to just use IE, then Parallels would be the better choice as that way you wouldn't have to restart your computer. If the rest of the programs aren't very intensive, then Parallels is still the choice for you.

Yea, that's a little too much information for such a simple question.

I noticed your location says NJ. What part of Jersey you from?

I would any day prefer parallels / vmware... for the simple reason on windows it offers a united view. so after boot up just start your required prog such as ymsg, etc and minimise them, then go into unity mode and you see the apps minimized on mac....

secondly vmware allows folder sharing so it's not a partitioned wall between the OSs and the multiple OSs can share the same set of files (music, videos, photos, documents etc) so the disk space can be used effectively without having to reboot the machine.
