Well in my experience I haven't found any problems. This is especially true of opening Word files into Pages. But sometimes Word does not support certain features of Pages like tables, but it warns you while exporting

Keynote opens PPT files perfectly. Keynote files exported to PPT look really crappy (but just as good as other PPT files).

Not used much of numbers and excel so I can't say.

It's just that they don't open some of the really complicated documents with lots of macros and stuff, but for normal use it is fine.
