I thought it might be a hoot to see what sorts of computers people have had over the years :)

I will start off with mine.

Old Machines

~ 1995 - IBM XT86 with green screen, was upgraded to a VGA graphics card and monitor before dying in 1995, Ran Dos only.

1995 to 1998 - IBM Compatible 486DX-55, 2 MB ram, 400MB hdd, Double Speed CD-ROM, Ran Windows 3.11.

1998 upgraded above machine to Cyrix P166 machine, had an amazing 16 or 32MB ram from memory, 4X CDRW was added, and a 10GB HDD.
Before it died in 2001 a 80GB WD HDD was added. Ran Windows 98 and Windows 2000.

2004 to 2006 - Asus A2800H Notebook
Got this for something to use on the road. Celeron 2.8Ghz, 256mb ram, cdrw/dvd combo drive, 40~60 GB HDD - Ran Win XP Home Edition.

Current Machines

2001 to current - Self built machine.
AMD Duron 700Mhz, 128MB SDRAM later changed to 256MB SDRAM, had a TNT2 which was eventually upgraded to a Geforce 4. 80GB HDD salvaged from old machine along with the CD Burner, added an additional 60GB Seagate. 2004 I changed the motherboard due to AGP port failure and upgraded to CDRW/DVD Combo drive, Was given a 1.5Ghz Athlon CPU, then a Athlon 2200XP was donated also. Changed the ram to 512 DDR Kingmax and was later donated a 1GB DDR stick. Suffered several case changes over the years. This box is currently hooked up to my Panasonic 32" LCD TV in the lounge room and is being used as a Media Centre. Ran Windows 98, ME, 2000 & XP. Is now running XP.

2006 to current - HP Pavilion dv4000 series Notebook
Purchased this to replace the ASUS as I really wanted something with a bit more ram and a DVD-RW drive.
Intel Centrino 1.67Ghz, 512MB ram, DVDRW drive, 60~80 GB HDD, Slightly better onboard graphics than what was included with the ASUS machine. Running Windows XP Home Edition.

2007 to current - Apple iMac 20" 2.0Ghz
Purchased this last week to have a higher end desktop machine - intend to use for graphic work / video work hopefully so will expand the ram to the 4GB at a later date.
Is better for studying while at home due to screen size and bigger keyboard.
Intel Core Duo 2.0Ghz, 1GB Ram, 250GB HDD, ATi Radeon 128MB Vid Card. Running OSX Tiger.
