I just switched to MAC
BOOK PRO 10.4.10 FROM many :Grimmace: years with pcs. I'm trying to install my printer, Canon Pixma MP830 (multifunction). When I put in the installation disc, I was told to download current drivers from
Canon, and I did so, I think successfully. O:)
But the computer doesn't know there's a printer appached. What else do I need to do?

iMac Core Duo 20", iBook G4, iPhone 8GB :)
Go to Preferences > Printers and continue from thereon (add printer, etc)

In the System Preferences, click on the Print & Fax button. Under the Printing tab, you should see a + (Plus) sign: click on it. This will open the Printer Browser window from which you can activate the driver you need: either you will be taken directly to the printer Mac OS X detects or you will navigate to the Printer drivers folder to add it.

If you know your printer's IP address, you can also add it typing in its IP.
