How do I tell which version of iLife I have?

go into garageband and see if it says Garage Band '08 in the pop up menu when you first start it or click on garage band in the menu bar and click about garage band and it should tell you what version it is. if you have GB '08. then ur ilife is the new updated one.

An easier way to tell is to look at the iMovie icon.
This is iMovie 06:
This is iMovie 08 (sorry, couldn't find a better icon):
If you have the star icon, then you have iLife 08. If you have the first one, then you have iLife 06
