Back-up software

Hi
Is there an integrated solution in OSX to have an automated backup occuring onto an external drive? (without mirroring the whole disk, just certain choosen folders)

Well, you could use Automator to copy certain directories to the external drive and schedule it using iCal (or cron). I purchased a backup program called Folder Synchronizer because I didn't want to copy files/folders that hadn't changed since my last backup.

A free alternative might be RSyncX although I have no experience with it.
