I have a major decision to make and i am at wits end.I just purchased an iMac 17" core 2 duo with a 2.17 Ghz processor, superdrive, built in isight,160GB HDD,built in bluetooth.I purchased this 2 weeks before the new iMac came out.

Problem:I was going to purchase the new iMac 2.0 Ghz processor and give my wife the 17".My wife only wants to play games and do light things on the machine, as for myself im a power user and think i will actually be at a loss if i were to purchase the new 20".

So im asking the community this question:
Should i keep my 17" and possibly purchase her a cheap computer(because she only wants to surf the net and play video games on the merchandise)?
Or should i bow down and give her the faster 17" and buy myself the 20"(which i am a power user and this will not be of benefit for me)
So what should i do?
Regards

At a loss - why? The new 20" has a better video card than the previous 17". As for the speed difference in the CPU - it will probably never be seen nor noticed by you unless you're running a speed test or encoding a video, timing the result between the 2 machines. My guess would be maybe 1 to 2 seconds faster per minute of encode time.

As to whether to get another Mac or a cheap windows machine - only you can answer that one.
