I use the command prompt in windows quite a few times to use features like ipconfig, telnet, netstat etc...


What sort of things would or can you use the command prompt for in OSX? Im sure you can do a million and one things, but what usefull things can you do with it than you cant with the front end? Why do you use the command console and what for?

well, you can do anything you know how to do in Unix. OSX is based on free BSD. i use it every now and then to refresh my unix knowlege.
