OK, I recently went to the opening of the new Apple store in Glasgow, and noticed that on all of the desktops, there was what looked like an application with icons which were links:

Is this an application that can be downloaded, or something else? I think this'd be pretty useful.

Thanks

I'd imagine that's an internal Apple CRM application.

I have never been able to find it. I think its an apple developed app for the stores only.

Would it be pirating when you would get it?

wondering about that,

it can't be that hard to get it, and don't see the bad thing about it, but well I doubt if this is pirating or not

tuaw.com have a couple of links, one for a legal (and cheap) Concierge-a-like, and another way to (most likely illegaly) get a copy of the Apple concierge.

Docktop (the app linked in the previous article) just does the 'floating buttons/links' thing, so isn't limited just to Apple store functionality.

cazabam, your Docktop link is broken.

If it's an internal Apple application that you can't buy - which it sounds as if it is - then "obtaining" it would certainly be illegal.

I assume that using the Docktop for apps and stuff like that isn't illegal?

I doubt it, DockTop is just a product by the looks of it. But getting hold of Apple's internal CRM software almost certainly is.
