recording tips

hello, new here and to macs,
i'd like to record what i do on garageband or live6 internally, but i get the outside noises as well: don't want that! any advice? i have a power g4 Alumin.

Try using a program like WireTap Pro, it will record what ever goes through your sound card and won't pickup any outside noise at all. It will record the sound and you can save it in a lot of different formats.
