Hi,
I need to know how to change program defaults. Like to make Entourage the default program for e-mail, or Firefox for browser default. How do I do this? Thanks, as always I know you guys will come through. G'night.

Hi Brooklyn431 Welcome. No such thing as a dumb question....if you feel the need to ask then there is sure to be someone else in the same boat.

I'm not sure about the answer other than when I first started using my mail and web browsing programs they actually asked me if I wanted to make them the defaults and I said yes.

Oddly enough, in Mail and Safari preferences, respectively.

Wow, thanks so much. I was so annoyed with Apple Mail popping up every time I clicked a link. Now, what do I do if I ever delete Apple Mail or Safari, how would I switch the defaults then? There's no preferences section to do this like in (gasp) windows? Thanks again.

My advice would be; don't.
