i have just installed boot camp and windows xp on my mac book, but realized that i needed to assign more space for the windows partition.. is there a way to assign more space to it easily, or do i have to remove it completely, and go through the whole installation process again??

You must remove it and start over again. The partition size is static once it is set. This is not the case with Parallels, which uses a variable size hard disk file and only expands the file if you need more space.
