My wife and I were watching the Dell video for the colored Inspirons or whatever. after seeing it 3 or 4 times, she told me to listen to the lyrics of the song. It sounds as if Dell is subliminally taking shots at Apple. It could be us, but see for yourself.

I don't get it. Maybe I need to read a transcript or something. Great commercial though: very surprising coming from a company like Dell. They must have hired for good ad people to take up this campaign.

I'm missing it. These are the lyrics:

"Time after time those fanatical minds try to rule all the world
Telling us all it's them who's in charge of it all
I've got a tricked out magic stick that will make them all fall
We've got the power now .."

If anyone could be characterized as "trying to rule the world" in terms of PC hardware, I think that would actually go to a mammoth company like Dell, or MS in terms of software, not the very small market share of Apple.

IDK, I think it's just a weird background song.

I get what he's saying. "fanatical minds", Apple users that often seem fanatical to conver the rest of the world.

"tricked out magic stick" Cheap, small, inexpensive, put powerful notebooks with COLOR!!!!!

"We've got the power now" - Duh...Penryn coming soon ;D

It is looking into it a bit much, but just an interesting interpretation if you ask me.

I think it's way over the head of the average consumer who knows little about computers, you know, Dell's primary customer base. :p

I don't think they are taking a shot at Apple. Why would they?

It's a Song by some band. The people who made the ad probably liked it and thought it suited the commercial and made it memorable.

It's like when a group a people are laughing when you walk pass them, you think they are laughing at But they are not they could be laughing at anything.

And ASUS user could be watching this ad and think Dell is taking a shot at them but no it's just an effective song.

Where are all the designer to back me up on this?

Remember though, the Penryn will probably be around on a Mac also now that Apple is using Intel CPU's.

Interesting commercial though. One of the best I have seen Dell ever do. Would catch the average consumers eye.
