I thought I'd give it a try for a year so started to sign up till I saw the amount, the charge was $139CDN plus tax for a total just over $160. Ouch. $99USD is only $106.57 at the current exchange rate, where did $139 come from? There's no frickin way I'm paying $160 a year for .Mac.

Sorry for the rant, but heck, that's way too expensive. :|

Canadians pay more anyways. $2 on a $4 magazine isn't exactly normal exchange rate right?

Um, no it's about $140-ish... so you're paying 40% more than me.

Apple are not adjusting their prices to account for the crashing US dollar, but then neither is anyone else.

Sounds like their being blissfully unaware to increase profit. "oh, the dollar fell, we don't follow monetary issues very closely." Yeah right. If the issue was reversed . . .

Well... to be fair, if every company adjusted its prices to suit the FX rates, there would be a lot of problems. Can you imagine prices bouncing up and down on websites daily?

But I agree - many companies are making a lot of money with the week dollar... it supports US companies exporting to non-US markets.
