Video chatting between Mac and PC?

Hi, i just got a MBP and i want to video chat with one of my friends who has a Windows laptop but does have a webcam.... so i was wondering if there are any programs that would let us do this?

aMSN will do it if your friend is using an msn account. i've used this to chat with my wife on her HP laptop with an external cam from my macbook.

Well we would prefer to use AIM, is there anything for that?

Never tried it personally but heard it works like a charm. I only used it for Text and it works great.

aMSN is only Video with no Audio though.

Skype is great. I use it all the time to keep in touch with my family all over, and they all are Windows Users.

I also use skype for video chatting with friends.

What is this skype people keep talking about it

I don't really understand skype, do you need to pay for it?

No. Unless you want to make phone calls to real phones.

It's free. Go check out their page, it' all there. It's fantastic, and the video quality is way better between Mac and PC than iChat/Aim
