Adium

hey, i recently installed adium after using MSN for mac because i used MSN on the PC. everyone was saying adium was so great i decided to chek it out, and yea, it is great, one problem though, it dosent have any alerts when i get an e-mail like MSN did. is there another program that can do this or can adium do it and i just cant figure it out? thanks

Hm, maybe an email program? =)

There was a joke floating around, that went something like...
"All software grows so big, until it is able to check email."

The point of Adium to so be lightweight/fast and use many chat protocols. I doubt it will ever check email. I hope not (unless it's a plugin).

preferences -> accounts -> (highlight your MSN account) -> edit (button in lower right corner) -> options -> check for new email

hey man, thanks, that worked.

i also found a program called POP Peeker which lets you get alerts for multiple e-mail accounts all at once, so far i cant find a version for mac, b ut does anyone know a program similar to this that is for mac, or know were i can find a mac version of POP Peeker?
