Alternative to preview?

Is there any linear software that can replace preview where you can scroll through the pictures in that folder or just the directory? or is there an option on preview to do this? Thanks in advanced.

You can't really do this directly in Preview, though if you select multiple pictures then drag them into Preview, a Preview window will open with all the pictures in the Drawer, thus allowing you to scroll through those pictures. Not quite the perfect solution, but it's something.

Additionally, you can select multiple pictures in the Finder, then right-click and select Slideshow.
