Picture folder in sidebar

I somehow lost my picture folder in my sidebar on the left hand side where the home folder is located. I was not using it but would now like to use it instead of using iPhoto. Can anyone help me to get it back. I went to preference in Finder and clicked sidebar it is not showing up there in the list.
In my Switching to Mac book it shows it as a picture frame. Hope someone can help me please

go to your home folder, and just drag the Pictures folder back to the sidebar. All you did was remove the shortcut to the folder. You can drag any folder into that sidebar, FYI

The folder is not in my home folder.

Hi visalpurple I found it I went to spotlight typed in pictures and opened each one and there it was so problem solved I should have thought of that before but it just came to me out of the blue.
