Hi guys!
I recently purchased an iBook G4 running Tiger off of eBay.
I am excitedly awaiting it! But I have to make a decision:

The item summary says that there is a clean install of Tiger with all updates installed.

Should I trust this, or go ahead and reformat myself, as well?

I am a PC user, and this will be my first Mac, so I am wondering, is it easy and/or worth it?

Thanks in advance!

reinstalling mac is dead easy i can run you through it if you like.

it wouldnt be a bad idea to do a clean install incase it wasnt and theres apps on there just wasting space.

up to you really. updating doesnt take very long. not aslong as windows

Amazing, thanks for the info!
Is there any link to a tutorial, perhaps? Thanks.

you put the Mac OS X Install Disc in, which if the buyer is any good will come with the iBook, and restart holding down C. Then follow the onscreen instructions.

There's no real reason to though. There's no dangers that they could have left spyware or viruses.

I think I'll decide once I see just how clean it is when I boot it up.
Thanks, guys!

What about keyloggers? I'm sure there are legit Mac versions of keyloggers.

If I were to buy a used computer, first thing I would do is format, regardless of whether the seller said it's a fresh install.
