Hello,

I have an up-to-date Panther installed in my iMac. After a regular shutdown, the next restart showed the following message:

"The classic Mac OS ROM is missing or damaged.
Classic requires this file. You need to reinstall Mac OS X to get a new copy of this file".

Can somebody help me solve this problem and get my classic running again. Because I updated my Panther with several updates that were available and if I reinstall OS X then I will have to spend a lot of time downloading several patches and downloads once again.

Help me please.

Thanks

I'm not really sure what to suggest other than the reinstallation that was recommended by the software.
