I just downloaded boot camp and I can get vista for dirt cheap. So here is my question: let's say you download something off the internet that virus in it. You do this with os X so you see no affect. But would the virus access your mac and ultimately os X through the windows vista software on the partitioned hard drive?

This is important because if it is true I dont even want to bother with boot camp. I 'd rather feel safe from viruses.

This has been discussed many times on this forum.
Bottom line:

Windows viruses infect and affect Windows only.
A Windows virus will have no effect on a Mac OS X installation.
