As the Apple Turns (appleturns.com) explained in the past couple of days that MacRumors is having ISP problems. It can be accessed by using its number.

It's still up and running but at last reading is having difficulties updating. It's switching to another ISP.

Oops. Sorry; I read Mac OS Rumors as MacRumors, which also is having problems. [Edited to add my Mac OS Rumors mixup mea culpa because of the original post's title.]
