Hi,
I was wondering if anyone has used the Lightsnake (www.). It is basically a cable that will allow you to connect a mic with XLR connection to the computer through USB. I have read about it in a magazine, and they said that it was decent. I am not an audio expert, but I wanted to use to to make recordings of a drum that I play called a Dhol. The mic is mounted inside the barrel. The drum is very loud and I have a mic that handles it. Will this cable and/or the MPB be able to handle it?

Thanks

Your Mac's Specs
1.67ghz powerbook G4, 1GB RAM, 100GB HD.
If the mic needs phantom power you'll probably need an external sound card to supply said phantom power. Depends on the mic though, what mic are you using ?
