because he is awkward, he has said he doesnt want to create an account on apple.com....but still wants to claim education discount (since he is a qualifying student)

question is, can he use his education discount on my apple store account even though i cannot claim education discount?

thanks very much for any help, pete

Not sure off the top of my head, Just open an account for him it really doesnt take long and would solve the guesswork anyway?

I beleive when entering on line they check your account name + the details given when entering (university name etc) randomly (e.g not everyone) to see if you do genuinly qualify

So as i say, best way forward in my opinion is just open him an account :)

Yes he can, as far as I know they don't really check when you order online.

That is the age old debate do they check or not. I believe they do check and if you are not a student, you are billed accordingly.

If he does not want to create an account, have him call it in.
